Identifying end-to-end processes, with AI and for the customer's benefit
Some have already articulated it, and perhaps you have noticed it yourself: everyone now gets an AI, can analyze things incredibly fast with it, research, produce vast amounts of text and software. And it has often been mentioned on social media: even though this is so utterly fascinating and somehow helpful too, hardly any truly measurable benefit for companies has shown up.
Even before this big debate started, it was clear to me that this was how it would turn out. It is an absolute no-brainer, and you have surely figured it out yourself: because you have to look at the end-to-end process.
None of this is new. We already understood it during the agile transformation; the term end-to-end responsibility is not new. If I now take that known body of knowledge and add AI as a new tool, I can achieve far better results.
In this workshop I offer to identify and map out these end-to-end processes.
In practice, in my view, a very simple device has proven itself, where I say: one end is always the customer, the other end is the backmost backend infrastructure. Now I have to identify everything that lies exactly in between, between the customer and the deepest technical layer, in order to identify the right people from that — the people who have something to say about all of it. Only with those people in the room am I able to open up an end-to-end process at all.
In all the organizations I have worked in so far, it is the case that these end-to-end processes contain sections that could be left out, contain cumbersome steps, breaks in media, run across different tools and systems that are not compatible with each other. In other words: along that stretch there is always potential for optimization.
In a workshop we can now identify these processes and ask ourselves the question: how can AI be used within these processes, or as a tool, to make them better for the customer? Our North Star is always the customer.
The workshop can be an entry point into this topic, and the actual implementation can then be carried out by your teams with my support.
What you take away:
Your end-to-end processes, from the customer to the deepest technical layer, are identified and made visible — including the places with potential for optimization and the question of where AI makes these processes better for the customer.
