AI strategy thought through from the customer

Most people start by thinking about AI inside existing processes within their own company. Always from the inside out, thought through from the daily work. That is certainly not entirely wrong, and there are many cases where AI genuinely makes things easier.

But I think another approach is just as important.

Consider that the customer, or the potential customer, uses AI to research something, to learn more about something, to get answers — and the advanced ones to fill out forms, to get things done, to book appointments. Yes, AI can already do that today. Not yet in every country, but in some, customers also use their AI to buy something.

If I take that as a starting point, I have a meaningful North Star that I can align my internal company processes to. It is like in the agile transformation among those who implemented it seriously: it was always thought through from the customer.

There are very practical things I have to deliver here, such as being findable in AIs, and making sure the AIs reflect what makes my company distinctive. And at the same time I have to understand: what makes me distinctive?

In this workshop we look at your company. What would your customers or potential customers like to get done with you using their AI? Or can you even offer services and products in the long run that customers can buy directly with their AI?

    What you take away:

You know whether you are mentioned in AI at all and how different AIs reflect your company. And you have a clear picture of what your AI strategy would look like thought through from the customer, as the basis for aligning your internal processes.
